Active rear differential

I have a 2019 X5 50i M sport. What was the option code for the “active diff”. I tried to get under it today to see it, and I think it’s just the open diff. Does anyone know the option code that would show up on VIN decoder web site?

2T4 is the MSport differential and it was a part of both the Dynamic Handling (ZDH) and Off-Road packages (ZOR).

I punched it today in a turn. I don’t have it. I could feel the engine cut out as part of the open diff crap. I’m sad.

I have never heard of that happening but could have missed it. You sure it wasn't your stability control kicking in?

Engine cut due to traction lost is just that. Even with LSD, engine will still cut power from traction lost. Non LSD bmw actually similaye LSD by differential braking. You will need to be doing some serious track driving to see benefits of mechanical LSD
