Thought it was battery issue multiple faults on start Racechip black failure

2022 X5M Comp, recently serviced by BMW oil change and plugs.
Returned from 900 mile trip no issues, car sat 2 days (never had issue with longer sits)

Start car, get multiple faults, sometimes just drivetrain malfunction ok to drive, other times 4wd system or rear Diff lock.

Used Bimmer link and most common occurrence is a bunch of voltage or short to ground alerts ( temp sensor, 5v sensor low throttle valve short, oil temp short) then after it runs a few minutes i can clear them all with Bimmer link

My mind says if it was a cable issue or real short they wouldn't clear.

Bimmer link shows battery at 85% charge 90Ah Battery label on front is 60Ah, Rear is 92Ah (this was the front battery forgot there is a back one) I am trying to charge on a tender now.
Front battery at 13.8 but still caused the charger to pull charge, switched to rear 12.5 on tender now.

I have a service scheduled Monday the 11th but would love to have info for the tech. still under factory warranty

Thoughts?

Is this an H7 or H8 rear battery for the 22? Are there options other than a bmw battery?

I have seen similar in Corvettes lighting up odd faults with draining batteries so hoping its just that.

Found the issue, catastrophic Race Chip Black failure caused the faults.

Are you going to put the RC back? Or does it have to be replaced?

Its completely dead, no display or power up.

I have to send it to RC to "verify" its dead. This better not take a long time. I even told them I would pay for a new one while they discover its dead and can then get a refund. Have not heard back on that option. Sending it out tomorrow and will start tracking the days. Luckily I am on a business trip for a few days so I wont miss it too much.

The good thing is RGSport is way more responsive than RC. He has handled a back an forth while I cant even get a reply from Racechip.

I am definitely either getting a replacement or buying a new one as its that large of a difference that I don't want to go without.

That's great man. And yea Ben is the man! So it doesn't look like any damage to the actual car yea?

Luckily no damage, a couple perm faults that cleared after a few drive cycles. I think it failed closed acting like the bypass plug was in place as it wont power up but still allows it to run. I removed it so I am not sure if it would still fault intermittently. No faults on long drives with it bypassed and the harness.

Bimmerlink and a OBDLink MX+ did a decent job of reading and clearing faults.
