The exhaust comes from the speakers in the door? Maybe because I have the Bowers and Wilkins?

They pipe in sound. As do most manufacturers.

If I roll the windows down and turn up the volume does it make it louder? Max exhaust note?

You can't control the volume of the artificial exhaust sounds. It's controlled by a module and everything is predefined. All you can do is turn it off by pulling power to the module or coding it off.

Edit: Not sure if this is still possible, but when the active sound system came out, you could pick different profiles (different engines/cars) from BMW's line up when coding it!

I haven't noticed any improvement in fuel consumption as opposed to the previous model.
Also it's a bit stiffer than pre-LCI.
I just bought my 2024 I'm not sure if mine is LCI but mine does feel stiffer than my 2021X5M and my 2022X6M and I'm scratching my head and trying to keep driving and saying it's gonna get betterbut I do feel more of a bump and maybe because of the hybrid pounds it feels different than my other cars. Still trying to love my machine though.

im sure there is some artificial sound but when im in drive through with the window open and rev the engine it is super loud against the bricks - no artificial noise there - in addition my friend told me he could hear me down the street when I left so not sure where people are saying this is a quiet car - yes quieter in comfort mode but not quiet.

Is the LCI ID8 or 8.5?

After taking delivery of my G80 with ID8 I really like the new screen. Just wish it had buttons for climate

From what I read, it's upgradable to 8.5 but does not have QuickSelect (Apparently none(?) of the M cars do, or maybe it's just the X M cars?)

Has anyone tried remote parking in their garage yet? I'm curious about how close it can get to objects...

What are you referring to in terms of QuickSelect?

FWIW

And perhaps it’s my driving style on long road trips (chill). On the LCI I’m getting 24/25mpg on the highway (consistently).

I realize they haven’t changed the window sticker (epa est) and it seems like my experience isn’t shared by all here; but I’ve had a meaningful bump in mpg.

The buttons across the bottom of the screen between the temp controls are removed from the M versions of 8.5.

Several reviewers including a few I trust like Motoman claim that the drivetrain is significantly improved in its response. Go to 3:40, he talks about it compared to other 48V systems and the previous model.
