Today I used a 50/50 Vinegar/Distilled water spray to remove some water spots on the windshield that couldn't be removed with regular window cleaner. Wow it worked so good and fast! Looks like brand new glass!
Tried it on side window. Crystal clean!
Next up, moonroof glass. Easy peasy! Clean as new!
I did all the windows. It makes glass really shiny. Not going to use it every time.
I will be getting a portable water softener. We have a well. The water is not that hard. But hard enough for water spots when washing my black X5 in the sun.
No pics. It was hard to capture. Was in my garage.

It helps to use a leaf blower. Keep the whole car wet the entire time you're washing, do it early in the morning or later in the day to avoid a high, over the head, sun. When finished, immediately drag out the leaf blower and knock the water off.

It sounds like a hassle, but it's actually pretty quick and easy to do. Most importantly if you're on a well, it greatly reduces or eliminates water spotting. Depends on your water in that regard but if it's not too bad you can pretty much avoid water spotting all together.

I use an Ego 650 CFM leaf blower. It works really well. It was done in the mid morning. Wasn't hot out.

I bought a slightly used 6K miles 2023 x5 40i a week ago! It drives like new. I have rented X5's twice. This 23 drives noticeably better than those rentals. Must be the 20" tires.
I got the 7 year extended warranty.
Got a ceramic coating yesterday. Still curing in garage. i don't have any outside pics yet. Pouring rain out.
Black sapphire metallic with black and cognac interior
Thinking about mud flaps. They have them on Amazon for this
g05. Yay or nay? I don't want rock damage.

These might fit. Looks different from the usual fare that say they fit an M but don't.
