Thanks for this ... my 45e has been stuck in QC since 5/11 (build date, which was originally 5/12 but moved up a day).

When I called Genius on Friday, the agent said that they were pretty backed up and I should see movement on Monday, especially as it slows down near the end of the week/Friday.

On another thread, someone mentioned that a significant number of X7s are also stuck in QC, so not sure if there is something broad or they're actually just running behind. I was somewhat hoping that a shipment of electric trunk motors showed up and they were retrofitting them on my vehicle, but that's not really feasible with modern manufacturing & supply chains.

Looking forward to seeing when one of our vehicles ships though!

Well, I emailed the Performance Center and asked if they had any idea what's going on. I'm scheduled for PCD in 2 weeks and wanna make sure the car will actually be ready then. Now I highly doubt they'll admit "oh yeah we're out of head units and we've got 3500 vehicles parked outside waiting for them," but maybe they have *some* answers for us.

Our 45e is stuck in QC, as well. Originally a 5/15 build that that got pulled in to 5/13, now sitting in QC since Friday. Displeased.

For reference, my vehicle left the factory on Thursday (it originally was scheduled to go out on Sunday). It arrived a couple hours ago.
Is this a hack for those of us in SoCal who can cut transit from weeks to days?

Same here, mine was originally scheduled for 5/16 that got moved up to 5/14. They actually started assembly on Friday and has been stuck in QC since Saturday. Got my tint guy scheduled this coming Friday, look like I may have to reschedule.

You can certainly try if you're willing to take delivery in Phoenix. You might also have better luck with allocations. One hiccup might be the willingness of the dealer to sell out of state. When I was shopping, I reached out to a dealer in Albuquerque and the SA informed me there would be a $5,000 surcharge since I lived out of state. She indicated they want to sell their allocations to New Mexico residents, presumably because they lose warranty service/repair money for people who take the vehicle out of state.

Well, it looks like week 20 builds (X5/6/7) are shipping, whereas week 19s are still in QC. That's somewhat reassuring, but definitely seems like week 19s were affected by a shortage of some kind.

BMW Genius said that my X5 is in Quality Check / Assembly Finish. He told me that the quality check and assembly finish are done together! Also, he added, "maybe they are waiting for a part."

Good news for week 19 builds! I heard back from the PCD team and they said my vehicle was finished this morning. Once MyGarage started working again, the vehicle showed status 182. The production date actually updated to 5/17, which is interesting. Still has 032W, but at least it's ready to go!

Hello I got email from dealer with BMW Vehicle Inquiry Report. Does it mean my order is submitted to BMW? The report does not have product number.

Congrats! Mine is still in QC. Build date also still showing 5/11. Hopefully I'm out tomorrow and on a train west shortly. I wonder what the issue was ...

If it doesn't have the Prod No. filled in then the ordered hasn't been accepted. Right below that is the Status, what does that say?

If it looks like this then your order hasn't been allocated. Once you receive the production number then your order has been accepted.

The order status say "047 spec released no quota". Looks like it means no allocation yet right?

That means your order is in the order bank. Once your CA gets an allocation and if your next line then you will get a production number.
