2019 X5 50i or 2020 X5 40i
What are some differences in the packages b/w 2019 and 2020 and is the 50i worth the extra money?
Does executive package always include the LED lounge lighting in panaromic roof? 50i does not come with HK sound nor BW, so how is a base sound system? 40i has no laser light. Big deal or not? What would y'all choose? I'm still going to negotiate this is just the window sticker number. 2019 X5 50i. No mechanical differences between 2019 and 2020. For some the V8 engine is a selling point, it's very nice and the 40i is more than adequate for most individuals. 2019 Executive package does not include LED Sky Lounge - only available starting with 2020's. All of the ordering guides note that 2019 50i's include HK as standard. 5AZ Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight is an option for year model 19 and 20 40i's - it's a standalone option for $1K or part of the Executive Package (2019 - $2050 or 2020 $5600 xLine or with M Sport - $4550) 2020 options changes below: Exterior - Manhattan green exterior color Interior - New interior upholstery options: ivory white/night blue extended and full Merino, ivory/coffee/black full Merino; Sensatec dash standard for both xLine and M Sport - New trim Individual fine wood fineline with cross black inserts - Anthracite alcantara headliner or in upholstery color Options - Executive Package repackage and now includes previous items plus Drive Recorder, Panoramic Sky Lounge LED roof - Acoustic glass is now $600 (2019 $300) - Driving Assistance Pro package now includes visual Lane Change Assistant means the vehicle can also visually register the position of other drivers in front of or alongside when you glance down at the Live Cockpit. Also Active PDC includes both side and rear braking intervention (2019 - just rear only) Hope this helps.

As for some other differences: - the 2019 50i has HK stereo standard. - The laser lights in the US offer some performance advantage, but is mostly cosmetic. In my opinion, worth it just b/c of looks. - Only the 2020 executive package comes with the Sky Lounge LED moon roof. 2019 will not have it. - You'll probably get a better deal for the 2019 50i than the 2020 40i. Especially since the 2020 M50i are on the dealership floor. It would be hard for someone to buy the 50i over the M50i w/o a significant financial incentive, IMO. |

I missed the part where there's 7K on the 50i.
I'd go 2020 if you were planning to custom order - order what you want because you'll regret settling for what's on the lot. You should be able to get 9-10% off custom builds.
