Car is not showing any speed limit
Is this related to market or some addition part of some package, or sould it be standard? It is m50d with a lot of options, however it just do not show any speed limit anywhere (hud, center screem, main screen). I open setings and driver asistance I only have lane departure warning and and front colision assist (or what ever is the name). Car does't have the option of "autopilot" (you call it here trafic jam assist or something). My 7 years old F10 had this working exelent, much cheaper and lower class cars have this, why my g05 does not?

Seems intuitive, but have you done this:
Displaying Speed Limit Info General information Depending on the vehicle equipment, Speed Limit Info is displayed permanently in the instrument cluster or via iDrive. Display via iDrive 1. "CAR" 2. "Settings" 3. "Driver Assistance" 4. "Driving" 5. "Speed Limit Assistant" 6. "Info on speed limits" 7. "Show current limit" |

It says "depending on the vehicle equipment," but if you have the HUD or ACC, I would expect it would be there.

Bosnia and Hercegovina (right next to Serbia). I also tought that this could be the issue (because my bmw f10 had this working, exactly the same as you described- it is working in croatia, slovenia whole EU but in Serbia, BiH it only shows that rounded circle). However, G05 shows nothing no mather which country you are. Could this be the part of the Driving assistance pack I do not have? Is there a way to make this work or Im stuck? If this is the case, it is realy shame on Bmw, yeserday I drove Fiat that cost new 15.000eur that has this system, but 100.000 eur bmw NOT???

Well i guess you need to check your option list...do you have speed limit info option?
In most markets this option is part of serial options, but maybe in yours isnt...same was in Croatia, before entering in EU..this option wasnt even possible to order...so i guess its the same problem . |

A question for those owners that have the sign recognition working:
How many cameras you have on the top of the windshield? I only got one. Trying to figure out if this is also an hardware issue? |

It looks like you need to have the Driving Assistance Pro package which would be three cameras.

When you decode your VIN...do you have the option code listed for road sign detection speed limit info? The option code used to be:
S8THA Road Sign Detection Speed Limit InfoIs this still the option code for this feature on the G05?

Ahh...thanks...thought I'd toss that tidbit into the discussion in case it could be useful...but apparently it is incorporated into a larger option package.

I got the answer from dealar that the car has that option listed (on the vin), and that this option is "locked" due to the fact that the market where I have bought it is not working anyway (no mather where You bought your BMW). Is there a way that this could be coded, or something, to work on those markets where it usualy works (like EU)
I bought previus used BMW f10 from germany, had this system working perfectly in EU this one is not working anywhere please help |

Car is not showing any speed limit
At this point, it may be worth a careful look at aSLA coding, in particular the country maps. For that matter, there are plenty of additional SLA (not just aSLA) FDL parameters in the associated ECUs that are worth a look. See here for starting point: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1687106

This thread gives me a better appreciation of the complexities of world wide distribution and maintenance of software applications. Separate Software updates have to maintained for each jurisdiction with variances such as this and distributed based on vin number (jurisdiction car was initially sold, not where it is physically located at any time).
