I know that about 99% of people could care less what the engine looks like. I'm one of the few that do. There actually aren't that many engine photos out there, except for the typical "3 feet away" shot that every BMW dealership takes.... is they even bother to open the hood.

I'm particularly interested in the orientation of the intakes, and how/where they draw air in. It is a different layout than the M850i

Also interested in the orientation of the firewall side of the chassis braces. I plan on refinishing them in something other than silver, so I'd like to get a good idea of how they are oriented.

The engine cover itself.... is it real Carbon fiber? Just a sticker? Just a CF insert into an otherwise plastic cover? I haven't been able to find a close-up high res pic of the engine cover either.

The only time you get real CF ok an engine cover is when you buy the M Performance or aftermarket one. intakes look different than the M850i, I have the 'old' MY19 50i so I can't take a pic that would be helpful

Yea... that's a good photo... but I'd really like to see some closeups of some of the items I mentioned above.

Sucks not having the "actual" car to look at - LOL

It isn't real carbon fiber, but it also isn't a sticker. It has some texture to it.

Yea..... I bought a car that I've not only never driven..... I've never even seen one in person - LOL

I already have over $2000 in "parts" just waiting on the car to arrive. I'm the type of person that will have the whole car torn apart within the first week of owning it. Generally anyhow.... this time I'm going to feel it out.

But, I am currently researching tuning options, and while there is no aftermarket intakes available for it yet, there will be soon, and I'm just trying to get a visual idea of how they are oriented. I've seen several intakes that actually perform WORSE than the stock one.

I ordered and bought my 50i (2019) without seeing or driving one. After I ordered it I did drive a few 40i versions with different options. I don't regret anything on my fully loaded 50i sans NV/rear seat entertainment.

What parts?

I haven't done anything to mine other than a full front wrap + rockers, partial roof, full ceramic coating, body colored reflectors, black grill, self centering wheel inserts and a few other odds/ends
