This is what the anthracite poplar actually looks like. It's not remotely brown imo.

Those are great representations of how it looks, is basically gray and black, no real brown comes out which is why it looks great with the black and ivory interior, I find the browns clash a bit, the only other trim I would consider would be the ash grain silver if you want the glossier look.

Anthracite is another beautiful trim. It was my second choice had I not gone with the ash grain silver.

When first ordering we were worried the ash grain trim would have too much brown/tan tint in it (the online configurator sometimes doesn't represent the most accurate hue of color and the very few pictures we saw online were in poor light) but decided to go with it anyway site unseen. It was actually spike5150 who posted that exact picture above back in September that really provided confirmation that we made the right decision.
Excellent, thanks for your opinion on that. Now I have two years to talk to the wife into that color combination. I would like to go for full so the leather dash and door tops are blue but not sure she will care for that. First world problems.
Perfect trim for ivory/night blue.

I couldn't justify the cost for the trim this round since I selected extended ivory/night blue - perhaps in 3 years when this lease of up.
Is this X5 interior? Looks like an X7 (because of a different rear view mirror)?

Photos I posted are X7 but you can get the same interior in the X5 - Merino in extended ivory/night blue or full leather ivory/night blue. The X5 and X7 interiors are pretty identical up front including the rear view mirror - the difference would the wood trim where the center tunnel meets the dash.
