About to purchase used X5M 2021

The vehicle is fully loaded but no B&W or rear axle steer. Any notes i should consider before buying? Known issues , etc.

Check tires and brakes because both are expensive. Would also make sure the interior ambient lighting works (a few reports of that failing). Make sure you get both keys and the key card as well.

Cheers,

How much are new brakes and when do they need to be replaced? Gotta factor that into my impending lease end decision.

Rear axle steering isn't available on the X5M. Adds too much weight and complication.

I DIY the brakes on my car. OEM rotors came out to about 1kish plus whatever pads you end up getting (don't get oem) figure about 4-600 for pads.

install was easy. Overall maintenance on this car is very easy and do-able.

Brakes are probably $3-4k at a dealer. They should last at least 30-40k miles but may go further with good driving habits. Agree w Alan that doing them yourself is probably the best solution (I haven’t gotten there yet).
