When did you place your order?

Your dealer may have taken your order even though they didn't have an allocation for you yet. If your dealer had an allocation for you, you should have received a production number almost immediately.

My bad, I meant I have a production number in 112 but no date yet. I'm working with Brady. Alls good. My friend's grandfather started the dealership but he passed 10 years ago and we all moved out of the area.

Go to my garage, open the developer view (might be F12?), refresh the page, go to Fetch, look through the data and you'll find it.

There's a better, detailed explanation of how to look for this data somewhere under the ordering directory.

Welcome to the forum. As mentioned, that is from the data behind the MrGarage screen but unfortunately I don't think it is available in your country.

Is the prodDate the date productions starts or is it when the Productions is to be completed. In my search I have found people that say both. My date has changed a couple days. My tracking jumped from Production Begins to Enters Assembly Line a few minutes ago. It skipped Exterior Body assemble and enters Paint booth. I will update if it does infact show completed on the prodDate.

As you mentioned, it is both. Assembly takes less than a day, around four hours or so. Rarely, if ever, will you see the steps between Production Begins and Entering Assembly for the Spartanburg plant.

I would guess you got pushed back a bit since you are still 111. You still need to go to 112 and 150 (which is about two weeks prior to assembly). Maybe your dealer just didn't give you the updated status yet.

Just got email from Dealer stock controller. My X5 50e has gone down the production line on 9/3 and is currently awaiting delivery to the export dock.

Sounds like the tracking is behind or your dealer is ahead since they said it was completed on the 9th.

Yep it has been screwed together, now in paint shop. Technically, Dealer is correct that it has been 'produced' however part of production is for it to be painted 🤣

Good to know we Aussie's also can track our builds too

No, that is not what happens. It is painted before it is assembled on the production line. Probably best to ignore your dealer and use the tracking as that should be accurate. What is interesting though is you saw it was in the paint shop. Spartanburg does not show that step for US customers so that is what made me question that tracking.

Pretty safe to ignore the tracker as it provides little information/value especially given what your dealer told you. Looks like they skipped a few steps.

Here are the steps that BMW uses for the tracking. Vehicles produced at Spartanburg usually do not show the status for Exterior Body Assembly Begins, In the Paint Booth and Assembly in Progress. Production Begins occurs about two weeks prior to the production week. Assembly takes about four hours or so.

My 2025 sDrive 40i order moved up a step. Scheduled for production. Vehicle image is wrong but the options listed are all correct. I’m so excited! Can’t wait till the vin is assigned.
