RainX or other repellents ok for an X5 PHEV?

Hi,
I have as een a few posts online (not this forum) with concern for putting RainX on the BMW X5 windshield, looking for some tested wisdom and advice. I have a new 2024 BMW X5 only a month old and loved RainX on our other vehicles, but this is my first BMW.

I have had incredible luck with aquapel. Performs really well, goes on in minutes and lasts about a year for me here in the Northeast US.

I have used rain x ( applied to the windscreen) for decades. It is literally the best invention since the wiper blade!

You can’t put on too much, just make sure it’s just on the glass, I don’t think it’s suitable for the body work

Apply to windscreen and other windows . It will probably leave a haze, you can remove this with a damp tissue and dry again with dry tissue

It’ll repel water and it beads off and once you are up around 40mph or so, it will just runoff
On the motorway you drive along in heavy rain without your wipers on, it’s that good.

It should help aswell if the car is frosted over in winter making the ice/frost easier to remove

I have been, am and will be a Rain X user for the windshield for as long as I remember. Only the one you directly apply to the windshield tho....
