Hi Guys,
Been searching the forum for an answer on these but can't seem to find it so..... If you fit these puddle lights (specifically the ///M logo) to the rear doors do they project on top of the welcome "stripes" when the door is fully open? Or do they look similar to the front door and project clear of the welcome lights? Cheers guys.

Having tried to force mine in, I broke the plug connector into which the puddle light attaches.
Any idea in the part numbers to replace that and how much labor? I did these on my F15 and it was a piece of cake. Don’t get why this is turning out to be a cluster |

seems u didn't read earlier posts... it's been found these newer versions (63-31-2-468-386) are slightly bigger than the ones that come from factory, so a bit of trimming is involved to get them to fit. dumb move on BMW's part. they discontinued the older versions (62-31-2-414-105) that easily popped into the G05.

I'm tempted to try to fit the new overlays into my original projectors. |

I just installed set of OEM's into my X5, however with the BMW roundel projection is slightly blocked off by portion of the door painted area. The M project doesn't do this because the M emblem is smaller in that vertical direction. I don't have my car here with me or I would take picture. Does anyone have the BMW Roundel installed that has same issue??

On my X5 a portion of the "B" is blocked by the painted area of door. Yes is did have to slightly trim the black trim hole to fit snap it in but on X5 there is some sort of anchor bolt which is slightly touching the projector housing. But I okay with things.

63-31-2-468-386 is definitely a wrong part of G07, I can not speak for G05. People who manage to push it in with the M logo will not see any issues since the door projection will not be cut off. The inner housing of this projector is a bit larger and it hits one of the body plastic part inside the door. See the image. When tightly pushing it in, it slightly tilts the projector inwards and BMW logo projection is obstructed by the door.
If this protruding plastic could be trimmed such that it no longer hits projector body do you believe it would go back to a normal position so that image is projected correctly??? |

I can confirm the original oem projectors DO fit without any modification required to the door or light housing. They snap in tight, but they do fit. The projection is not cut off by the edge of the doors. I have done all four G05 doors and all four G07 doors and two M2 Comp doors without any problem. I believe my X7 M50i took a total of 15 minutes to do all 4 doors. I think the latest OEM projectors that are dark grey in color are the ones that have issues. The all clear plastic OEM projectors are the only models I use because they fit every model. X7M50i. The G05 X5 looks exactly the same fitment. Last edited by MystroX5; 05-11-2021 at 09:22 AM.. |

Finally got the part 105 from eBay. So yeah it does go in my G07 with the trimming very easily. But for some reason it does not fit in completely. It is probably the same body plastic part blocking it. But this at least fits in.
Not sure if the one I got are faulty, but the projections are not 100% looking right. It seems stretched out and looking disgusting like a double chin :/ |

I am pretty sure, I tried both of the projectors on the driver’s door and they both did not go in fully
