Okay, I guess maybe they made a special version for and no one else has access to it or knows about it. LOL

Of course you are. They are better lights, further throw, higher rated, etc.

LASER works and I am not sure if it is the 600m as advertised for Europe, but you can see them coming on and illuminating way into the distance, but they only come on at specific speeds with no cars in front.

Not upset in the least. Just want to make sure people are not misled.

I think LexxM3 put it best last year when someone once again asked if they could enable anti-dazzle with Bimmercode.

"In fact, there are at least half a dozen clear and unambiguous responses to the same question in many of those many posts that the answer is: NO and unlikely to ever be — too complex without VO coding (too many individual FDL values) and at least 3 of the required ECUs are not supported by Bimmercode at this time."

https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1819573

Now if you are saying they recently opened up those ECUs, please list them and they can be checked out.

Possibly to share the detail procedure?

This post in the g20 forum may be a good place. Worked on my g20 but I eventually got around to VO code it.

Yes, that is one of the faux/incomplete coding options for anti-dazzle, it comes close but doesn't fully enable it.

Speaking of Bimmercode, I'm on version 4.1 (12440) - 14.11.3 Just opened the app today and it says there's a data update available. It doesn't say what the update gives you and I don't see an update available in the App Store so cannot read more about it. When going to the Bimmercode site, the most recent version is the one I already have.....

Anyone know what the update is about?

.

I would imagine that is the update required to do coding on 07/2022.xx. They pushed it out to Beta testers a few months ago .

It is inexpensive to have the anti-dazzle coding (plus more) done

I did some coding on my last car '15 X3 myself, but with the more complex 2022 G05 I decided to have it done. $100 for all the features you want coded, and $50 if iDrive update causes some or all to revert to factory. Great service, done remotely. https://www.codemybimmer.ca/g-chassis-coding/
My two favorite are the anti-dazzle (works great) and the adaptive cc that automatically adjusts the speed as the speed limit changes (rather than having to push a button each time it changes). Also allows you to specify an offset speed relative to speed limit for both 40MPH and below and above. I have mine set to +5mph <=40 and +7 >40.
Love the technology.

I guess a good question would be is if there is a list of reputable companies that have the ability to enable the Anti-Dazzle that folks can reach out to.

There are quite a few different companies and coders. r33_RGSport always has satisfied customers.

Steve Ma from codemybimmer programmed my anti dazzle headlights and they work flawlessly. Took him 20-30minutes remotely. The technology is really neat watching them in action. Makes driving at night a joy being able to see everything without blinding anyone.

Do you have a video of behavior? I have not seen any evidence to date showing bimmercode can correctly enable function.

I asked the BimmerCode developer and he said it's not possible. However, this was back in 2019.

BImmercode cannot do VO coding and there's a module of software that is what is inhibiting anti-dazzle to work properly by just changing some software switches.

Yeah...never seen any video evidence of coding via Bimmercode that resulted in zero light leakage.

You guys are comical. What is this light leaking you folks talk about? Can you show us your evidence? I don't see light "leak," what I see is the same behavior BMW has advertised on their press. I have access to very dark wooded roads with a level of traffic to see it work. I can also see the laser action in said road which will only come on if there are no cars ahead. It's pretty cool seeing them come on.

Where is the leak? What does it look like?

LOL, you have it backwards. You have to show evidence that it works which needs to include various videos as well as all of the coding you have done. It is up to you to prove it can be done since every piece of evidence shows that it can not. Remember, we are talking full functionality not just having some tunneling occur.

That's the thing, I do not have to show you anything. I will continue to enjoy my car and know that the so-called light bleed is just you folks talking out of the rear end.

Now, if you had said that the KAFAS modules, cannot be coded with BimmerCode, I can agree with, that is for the camera and it's ability to keep the high beams longer in the presence of street light among a few other things. The camera has no bearing on whether the lights tunnel or not.

Without the one line of code for the KAFAS, I see the lights working as advertised and I clearly see a tunnel around the car in front and the left light moving outwardly with oncoming traffic and then dipping. When there are too many light the system deactivates and I have not seen a single time where the lights appear to blind anyone else. So while the sensitivity in the camera might be different, the code works. There is lots of lines to be changed and even posted code here is incomplete.
