Oh wow that's a positive surprise. I guess my CA was trying to manage my expectation down.

Thanks a lot for the info!

That's great to know - I placed an order for an M50i yesterday instead of x40 precisely because of the HK issue...

On a side note, does anyone know whether having a production week assigned/scheduled means the car will actually be assembled in that time frame without delay? I have a week 21 production assigned already when I called the BMW genius (who also told me that based on what he sees there shouldn't be any change/delay to that schedule), but my dealer was saying that with the m50i it probably will be realistically produced in June or even July.
Just FYI, I had a week 20 allocation for an M50i with extended leather (an alleged delay) and it went into production yesterday, week 19.

Lol am I the only one that's totally confused by the depreciation rock that is the X5... locked in a 53% residual but it just keeps going down. My last X5 50i was like 56% residual.

Demand is sky high for the x5, bmw is taking more profit. As you may know the lease residuals do not tie and really are not mapped to actual residual value, bmw inflates them to incentivize leases and get consumers onto the new every 3 flywheel.

Is demand relatively high or production relatively low? I ended up with 7% off sticker so not that sky high I guess, especially with very low base MF 🤷

I was quoted the same... 7% off MSRP, plus incentives, with base MF. Unfortunately the options I want aren't available to build now.

Does anyone know if the $7500 federal rebate applies if you lease a 40e?

I got offered in MA 4% off plus $3500 rebates on a new X6M50i. Dealer is saying the chip shortage is turning the car market into the housing market and discounts aren’t as big anymore. I’m calling BS. They totally balked when I wanted 10% off.

That is what we have been seeing here. While the 10% discounts can still be had, they are very few and far between.

I was able to get a dealer in MA to agree to a fully loaded new build X6M50i Arctic Grey/Black interior for 7% off plus $3500 incentives. They said it’s going to take 10 weeks to build. Anyone get theirs sooner than the estimated production time?

I'm thinking of selling my leased 2019 X5 40i and upgrading to an M50i. It seems that my vehicle's value minus the lease buyout puts me ahead, which is very unusual. My 40i was
very heavily optioned in 2019 (laser lights, massaging seats, driver assistance plus, etc.). It only has 5700 miles on it. Yea, I don't drive it enough. In any case, the dealer lowballed me a $47k purchase price. However, CarMax and True Car offers are at or over $50,000. The thought of using one of those services seems like a hassle. I'm pretty confident the dealership is treating my car as a base model. While I know most of the options depreciate heavily, the very same dealership has a 2019 listed for sale at $56,000, and it has half the options and four times the mileage. Should I push the dealership on this? It seems absurd that they'd lowball me, especially since I'm looking to lease a $100k vehicle from them.

Thanks all!!!

I am in exactly the same boat. 2019 X3 m40i, Vroom offered $48K (it only has 15K miles), and pretty heavily optioned. Not a hassle at all, it was a very easy process. Just ordered X5, and came quite a bit ahead on equity vs. the lease buyout.

xtopher -- I'm in the market for a new G05 here in Chicago. Can I ask which dealership (maybe even salesperson?) you worked with?

That's an amazing deal. I'm in NY and can't find deals lower than 7% before incentives. I sent you a PM to get your brokers info.

I emailed literally every tri-state dealership within an hour drive from me, and even considering the broker fee, none could touch that deal.
