Two months is probably in the ball park regardless. Depending on your other options, you may see delivery in 6-7 weeks. Just my guess based on what others have been experiencing. My X5 was ordered at the end of January, but individual leather and individual exterior is pushing my build to 2 months.

Congratulations on the order, hopefully the wait isn't too bad. Do you happen to have the option code for the stand alone HK? I'm trying to help someone out on another forum and their dealer insists there is no such thing and HK isn't being offered.

You will get Vin once your status moves to production begins. I saw it in BMW my garage, my dealer texted me too.

I'm glad I found this thread and asked my dealer to add the HK back into the build. Hopefully it will stick and be built with the HK.

Just got HK added in as an option on my Individual X5 (Daytona Violet for my wife) that's been in order received status for 10 days. I feel so relieved!

Yes, still there. Currently in order received status. My dealer had an allocation and told me I should have my car in 5 weeks (I placed my order 3/6). I'll post updates as I get them.

Just got off the phone with the BMW genius, car was ordered on March 11, although still in order received status in my garage, vehicle is scheduled to be produced week of April 20-24. I had both Merino Leather and HK as a standalone, so not seeing much if any delay for these options as 6 weeks from order to build doesn't sound delayed to me.

It left the factory!

I was wondering if anybody had their cars delivered after going through the disappearing/reinstating HK process. And man, am I bummed about my air suspension 😫

My garage says mine is at the dealer ship, dealer says it should be there any day now. HK is retained so Air suspension is the only casualty of MY21 chaos.

I put my order in on March 21, 2021 and the HK was included in my xDrive45e that was just assumed and now ready for assignemnt.

My car just entered the production begins phase and was assigned a VIN and the HK is still on the build, so I think it's locked in at at this point.

Not sure how long it takes to go from production begins to finished though.

for me it sat at this stage for 2 weeks then jumped to "assembly in progress" and then "quality check"
Dealer and BMW Genius gave me an April 9 for finish date. I think my order date was 3-6-2021

About 10-14 days seems to be common.

My CA reached out a week ago stating that BMW was telling them that HK would incur up to a 5 month delay. This was contrary to the people here who seemed to still be retaining this option when VIN are issued unlike the air suspension that is getting dropped, so I remained optimistic. Good news, I had my VIN issue today for my 45e and it still includes HK. Week 17 build date.
