Offered Invoice price plus rebates on a factory order 45e
About how much less is invoice price than MSRP on an X5? 6% or so?
Yes, I would like to get 9% - 10% like some folks here have reported to have gotten but with a tight supply I can definitely understand why that might be tough at the moment. |

It depends on options but generally in the 5-7% range when including the destination in the MSRP. I believe they are still using the calculations announced a few years ago:
BMW US Invoice Pricing calculation: Base vehicle US MSRP (from pricing sheets) multiplied by 0.93 + MACO fee $500.00 (flat rate applied to all dealers) = Base vehicle US BMW invoice price To figure the invoice price of your BMW as configured add - + Option and packages (anything you can add to the vehicle) multiplied by 0.92 + Training fee of $180.00 + Destination and handling charge - Currently $995 = Total vehicle invoice price +/- $10.00

I just got my 45e delivered that I ordered in March as a custom build. After much back and forth got the 6% of MSRP, $2500 rebate and .090 financing. I have shopped around few dealers in IL and only 1 wanted/could do 6% due to low allocations and high demand.

Do you mind sharing the dealer detail? I'm also in IL and shopping for a 45e.

Invoice vs MSRP
So I just went thru this, armed with a lot of good information off this and other BMW user sites. Going to order a 2021 X5 M50i - only upgrades / options are parking assist pkg, premium pkg, rear manual window shades and carbon fiber trim. No DHP.
MSRP (before destination charge) $86,100 Dealer invoice (which they printed out for me) $80,450 (so about MSRP -6.5%), base rate MF and all incentives applied after that reduction from MSRP. FWIW, we agreed on a price of MSRP -10%. Could not have gotten that were it not for a deep dive into reading others' posts to know what MIGHT be do-able, and the fact that a good friend had just gotten that very same deal at a different local dealer. That made it much much easier. |

Don't forget to add the spare tire option, for $150 it is a no brainer to have a little extra insurance. They must have thrown something else into the MSRP since that is not the correct one with the options listed: M50i - 82,800 Parking Asst - 800 Premium - 1,000 Shades - 250 CF Trim - 300 Total MSRP - 85,150 Edit: I saw on another post you went with the 21" wheel option which is $950 so that would be the difference.

Thanks for letting me know! I got an 8% deal from an out of state dealer since I'm moving to that state in a month or so. I did ask Bill Jacobs about a "new" manager's car that has 2,500 miles on it but never titled. They offered me $3,500 off MSRP + $1,000 loyalty but no $2,500 APR credit. I just cannot justify the purchase. Who's the guy you talked to?
