New 22” All-Season Tires in our Size: Continental Premium Contact
Just ran across these tires in our size and classification.
https://www.americastire.com/buy-tir...rProduct/87563 https://www.continental-tires.com/ca...remiumcontact6 A little more expensive than the Nittos but I personally like Continentals, having the DWS06 on a previous car. These also have noise reducing foam, so I’m sure they’re quieter than the Nittos. I may get these. Anyone have any experience with these? |

Thanks for the info. Always good to see any all-season option in for the 22s.

Well shucks, I just noticed these tires are run flats. I hate run flats. I bet these aren't as noisy as typical run flats, but hard as rocks.

You guys realize that these are not all-season tires, right? Especially with a horrible treadwear of 280.
Have a feeling that Discount Tire tagged them incorrectly as all-season. Conti Premium mContact 6 are BMW OEM summer tires

We just took possession of our 2021 AG x5 and we’re thinking of upgrading to the 23” wheel. Looking for advice on best all season tires. We drive a lot!

Anyone aware of a winter tire that will fit the 22's? I am planning on a second set of wheels (probably 20's) but if there is a good winter tire that will work with these rims, maybe I will save some dough. I have the summer conti's mentioned above on there now and I like them.

IMO... if your borderline, do yourself a favor and get a set of 20's for the winter. The 20's will give you a better ride, better traction, much less chance of rim damage and no switching tires every year. Tires are also cheaper. Just the switching back and forth and balancing is hard on the wheels, let alone the winter salt, rocks, pot holes, hidden curbs, etc. I also get another set of center caps as well so I can just leave them in place. Good luck!

Thanks guys. A little on the fence as to what to do. I live in a rural area so curbs are not that much of an issue. That said, I have a place up north in ski country, which historically get's a lot of snow, not so much this past winter, and want a tire that handles the snow/slush/ice well.. I will likely get the second set of rims (20's), but I have plenty of time to decide...just trying to figure out what options I have at this point....

Hi, I have the 22" Conti Premium Contact 6 's on my X5, as above they are not all weather, and in the UK at least not available as run flats, they are however very noisy on poor surfaces, and on concrete sections of motorway almost unbareable. They do however grip and ride well. I am also not keen of how they look on the car as they always give the impression of being a bit under inflated despite me running higher pressures.

23s? I don't think there is an available tire size close enough in diameter to match the xDrive specs.

I do not intend to replace the tires in my car yet. I may think about it in the future, but not at this time. You may want to check out 4WheelOnline if you are planning to avail of a set.
