I have the MC Comfort seats on my 2023 and find I can dial them in quite nicely. They were a bit too firm when new but after 6 months feel perfect.

It would be great if BMW NA offered the Power M multi-function front seats similar to the UK market that is mono-tone, as this is much firmer seat compared to the series X5.

Likely would not be enough sales to justify it. Americans on a whole seem to like a softer seat. There are many threads/posts from folks who think the mulit-contour are too firm.

Magna is already making the M seat in Duncan, SC, as I drove past the Magna factory this week and only 10 miles from BMW manufacturing. This seat is installed for the UK bound X5’s, but only with black extended merino, black full merino or tartufo full merino. BMW NA I’m sure feels this option for the US market would take away from the higher profit X5M/X6M sales, but with limited V8 allocation, not sure how much of an affect offering the eltectric M seat would actually have.

We know where they are made and how they are used but it is a matter of ROI/marketing as to whether BMWNA wants to offer them. If there was demand and a profit could be made I would think they would do it.

Very unlikely that is the case. It is pretty safe to say that no one is buying the X5M only because the M Sport seats are not available in the lower trims. More posts/reviews than not seem to consider them to be uncomfortable/not as comfortable as the multi-contour but then again many say the ride itself is harsh/uncomfortable. It really is a personal preference. As we see all of the time, one person's harsh is another's sporty.

I believe it also takes time for the Seats and Leather to break in like Speakers on a Sound System.

I think you are correct as well as it takes time for a person to adjust to having a different seat/seating position. In almost all cases all of the different factors eventually come together and it is a comfortable seat.

I had bad back and hip pain in both my 540 and older X5, also had persistent back pain in general. I read up on it and watched a bunch of YouTube vids and started on a pretty aggressive stretching and strengthening program. It’s too much to type out here but there is tons of free info available. I found the videos most useful. The pain got a lot better fairly quickly but you have to keep at it. The strengthening is just as important as the stretching especially for the posterior chain.

The formerly uncomfortable seats are now issue free. It turns out my body was the issue, not the seats. More importantly the daily pain I’ve had for years is almost completely gone now.

You are going to hate my suggestion, look up Paul Chek, buy his book eat and move healthy and start doing strength training to strengthen your back muscles.
