Should I have received a production number upon order?

Got to thinking that it seems there should be something to enter into My BMW Garage when I placed my order (50e). I'm concerned that my dealer might be keeping an open MY24 allocation to show customers and then just taking paperwork and a deposit to hold until they get more allocations.

You should request your production number. If they can't produce it, you don't have an order with BMW.

There are no MY24 50e allocations available and have not been for some time with the production limitations. When did you order it?

Last week. They had a MY24 allocation they showed me and said would be used for my order.

Highly unlikely that is the case but I guess we will know in a bit. Give them a call and if they can give you the production number then there is an allocation. Then give Genius a call and ask for the production week. You would be one of the very, very few that would be built anymore for the US.

My issue isn't being pushed to MY25. The issue is if it doesn't start out as a MY24 and they just hold the paperwork until they get a MY25 allocation then it's going to be mid summer before I get this thing.

You need to ask them. We have not seen any 50e allocations for MY24 for a few months. Those that have ordered in December are still waiting to get a production slot. We do not know yet whether production will continue to be limited or moving back to normal so can't really speculate on when deliveries will occur. The first thing you need to know is if you have a production number and then you can go from there.

I got my production number. Dealer states it's under a MY24 allocation and that it will be flipped to MY25. Have MY25 allocations been made available? Any way to confirm this is infact a MY24 allocation? I added it to My BWM and everything looks correct with the order.

I don't think you have to worry about it being someone else's. The site should list all of the options that you selected. I think maybe you are misunderstanding the situation/getting bad information. What you likely got was someone's order that they gave up on when it went to 105. The dealer then changed it to be your specs. You need to see what status the order is in to verify. Either call Genius, use the "F12" process or PM me your production number.

As an aside, when it goes to MY25 you will be getting a new production number.

I'm at work so I just sent you my prod number rather than trying the F12 method. Thanks for the help!

Anytime. Here is your data and you are in 105 which follows with what I described above. Probably this week they will start moving the 105s to a MY25 production number.

As far as your options go, the option codes are listed with the data but also show in MyGarage. Click on Track Status and scroll down to see the options associated with the build.
