CarBahn stage 1 DME tuning

Have anyone got CarBahn stage 1 tuning done to their 2023 X5 M50I. If you have would you please describe about your likes and what you don’t like about it. Also is it worth it to have it done thanks in advance.

Can CarBahn now unlock your ECU(post 6/2020) for a flash tune or is this question in regard to a Piggy Back device?

No my question was for if anyone have it installed either by dealer or by carBahn.

I just finally got it installed by BMW dealer and it will not void warranty either. will post my review about this tune once I have tried out. But so far drive from a dealership to home it feels much better then before there’s no lag in acceleration that was there before and it sounds more aggressive now in comfort mode. So will post the review once I am done testing it out.

Full flash ECM tune or Piggyback? An ECM flash should be a big bump in power and torque.

What did the dealer tell you about warranty? BMW isn't going to cover any major powertraun claims. Is the dealer saying they will? That would be crazy.

So this is an ECM flash? If it is you are 100% correct, BMW will not honor the powertrain aspect of the warranty.

Yes it is fully warranty and the product was sold and installation done by the same dealership who I brought the car from BMW Houston North.

Your BMW powertrain warranty will NOT cover repairs if it is known that a tuning device has been or was installed. You must have Carbahn's "warranty" included in the price you paid.
Quite honestly it does not appear that you fully understand what you have purchased or have been mislead by the dealer.
Hope your device serves you well. Give us a full review of the product soon if you can.

Good luck getting a tuning company to pay for a new engine, tranny or transfer case. It just isn't going to happen. They have lots of disclaimers that will allow them to walk away.

How's your experience with carbahn? I've got it installed by carbahn but i installed catless DP same day so i don't really know how much the power increased by tuner and how much through DP lol

DME flash gives the huge bump, stage 2 tune gives over 700 bhp and 650 torque on M50i.

Do you have it installed on your 2022 M50i? I didn't think they could unlock and write a calibration on a post 6/2020 M50i.

Mission Performance now has an at home ECM unlock for a full flash tune.
This is a gamechanger but all generations are not yet supported. Hoping the S68 is unlocked soon.

Carbahn also started DME flash tune for 2022 X5M50i so i called them and they quoted me $250 for installing the tune + $1975 for femto DME unlock because i have there stage 1 controller installed in my car. I'm thinking about getting it tune from carbahn.
I also flash tuned the transmission with xhp stage 3 yesterday

Your vehicle is going to be an absolute monster with a full flash tune, likely in the 700HP range.
Go for it and enjoy!

How did the tune go? I'm not sure if you told them about the xhp but their software isn't prepped to cope with xhp. They suggest tq limits revert back to oem (750nm) per gear.

Did you dyno or do any drag runs you can share?

Oh wow , thanks for letting me know that because today I'm going carbahn to drop my DME's for tuning and I'll ask them about the xhp.

I called carbahn and spoke to there tuner and he confirmed that xhp tune is not supported with there tune
I think because they provide factory warranty option to purchase with tune so that's why they don't want people to push there cars to full limit and cause issue with engine and transmission.
Now I'm completely confused 😕 to decide if i should go with carbahn or not.
