I recently took delivery of a 2024 X5 sDrive40i but neglected to order the running boards when configuring my build. And it has now become apparent that my daughter needs them to more easily get into the back of the car.

I've inquired with getbmwparts.com about their G05 X5 running board retrofit kit but they indicated that they can't guarantee it fits the LCI X5. Has anyone here installed the retrofit kit on their LCI X5 without issues?

Per BMW, the part number for the kit is 51-77-5-A21-0C6.

I am looking for the same thing for my 2024 X5 M Sport…. Feels I possible to find a place to install them

You should check out the reviews for those that have them - believe most feel they are more likely to dirty pants than do any good helping you into a vehicle

Make sure you don't have the M Sport package... if you do, I don't think you can add running boards.

there are no direct fit running boards for the X5 M Sport variant. I only know of two people that went forward; one aborted mid-install while the other was successful, but there was some compromise

do you know what was the gating item? The chassis bolt location, door frame should be the exactly the same. The only gating item I can see is wheel arch. But of course, I didn't work on one. I might be interested mainly because kid
