Looking into this app as I will be getting my G05 this or next week. Does this use crowdsourced data for old fashioned speed traps (i.e. police hiding with radar/laser detection gun)? There aren't many, if any, camera based speed traps in these parts. I usually rely on waze but often forget to turn it on. Perhaps a proper detector will be in my future, but I stopped using my old one because all the cars around me with driver assistance kept setting it off. Also, I am not sure but I think most of the LEO's in New England have switched to laser based guns but I would not even know where to check and verify that. A trip to my local auto sound place that sells these things may be in order. I just don't see myself driving slow in the M50i....

It has been enabled for UK and costs £20 per year.
I have tried it in my local area and it detected all cameras I know so it's pretty good. It does not need active route guidance in navigation which I first I thought it needs and it does not include cameras from opposite side.

john1200c ,
I've had traffic camera activated for a little over 6 months and am quite disappointed with it so far. First and foremost, it has only alerted me to a few red light cameras-- not all that I've driven by either. At first, I thought maybe it's due to radar detectors being illegal to use here, but have had the same problem in other states. I think it's due to the data BMW draws from (think it's HERE database?) Additionally, the icon that appears is a white background clunky rectangle that will only show up in Instrument cluster & not in HUD Bottom line: while inexpensive, a long run for a short side!

I subscribed to the service today and after about an hour I was up and running. I just have one query, is it possible to get audible alerts in addition to the visible pop-ups?

Hi, daft question I know, but I’m assuming you saw the option on Connected Drive? I’m in the uk too but don’t see Camera Info as an option to purchase fro some reason.

I've never managed to get the Camera Warnings to appear in my HUD, but having followed advice on another thread I deleted my Profile in the car and recreated it (and linked it back to my Connected Drive account).
So far I finally have it working in the HUD. It was a slight pain losing some settings but worthwhile to resolve this. |

I own a 2021 M2351. It was manufactured after July 2021, (September to be exact). My vehicle has the Live Cockpit Pro (6U3) option. I am unable to subscribe to this service. Anyone know what models are excluded from having this?
