22s vs 21s
Anyone get 22's and now wish they had 21's?

Both have bad tire options but overall I like the 21" wheel style better

We got the 22’s. For two reasons. They change the look of the X5 50i and make it sportier and a bit of a standout. I do like the wheels better but it is just personal preference. No regrets on getting the 22. I guess the 21 is more distinctive BMW but i did not get 5 hole teledial on my Alfa QV that was signature. I like different I guess.

The ride is about the same as you’re gettin RF’s on the 21s and non-RF on the 22’s.

Anyone come up with a plan (or find a manufacturer) to put all-season, non-RFT on the 22 inch wheels yet?

For those who chose 22" and have air suspension, how comfortable is the ride?
They look amazingly good, but how is the ride on less than perfect roads? Thanks |

I think the ride is comfortable. I haven't got that jarring feeling you would think you would get. I only have 900 miles and haven't fully explored the limits yet tho.

I have a bluestone laneway behind us and it sails down there no problems. No doubt the ride would be better with bigger side walls but I find it to still be quite plush.

22s all the way! It completes the look especially if you have Air Suspension and leave it in the second lowest setting. Its perfection...
This is my car right now outside my office!

Agree. I just found these last week and posted somewhere? Interestingly they do not show up on Tire Rack for X7 in any config. This has been biggest hang up for me. I believe these would fit X7 as well

Have the 22's and my only regret is not realizing there's a lot of gloss back on the spokes that brings more attention to the (excessive) brake dust. Might have opted for the 21's had I realized this.
