What was surprising to me was that even some Bay Area dealers offered decent discounts without me trying. BMW of Mountain View offered 6% off but came up to 8% off after a bit of negotiation but they wouldn't budge on the 1% markup on the base finance rate. Another dealer you might be able to get a good discount is BMW Concord. I'm not getting mine from either of these but would still recommend them.
isnt BMW of mountain view a one-price dealership? I tried to negotiate for a 2023 CPO X5 but they flat out refused any reduction in price.

Did you have a competing offer from another dealership when you went in?

I asked them what’s the best they could do for a custom order X5 and the answer was an immediate “5-6% off” without me even pushing for a discount. The next day I reaches out saying I got an offer from another dealer for 8% off with base finance rate and they said they could match the discount but not the finance rate.

Sorry for the delay, I got mine from BMW of Concord. Contact Mursal Popal there and let her know that Faraz sent you for a good deal. Cheers

Picked up a X5 50E over the weekend in Houston Texas. Wanted to order but decide to see what discount I could get from on the lot inventory.

I started high at 8% and was shot down immediately. They came back with 6% off MSRP + $1500 loyalty but added tint and interior coating ADM of $1995 which I negotiated down to $695. Even that was too expensive for 2 front tint and some cheap interior coat.

Once we finalized on the above numbers I told them I had an additional $1k off for participating in the BMW IX electric driving event. Held that for the end as I know how some dealer would roll that into the discount negotiation. I suggest doing that if still available. https://driving.bmwusa.com/cities

Total Discount: 6% off msrp (or 5% off because of the $695 ADM) - $2500 rebates. Round it all and I got 8.45% off MSRP.

Finance we agreed on buy rate of 4.99% but seems it went up to 5.29% this week? Agreed and deal done.

Just for clarity, the $1k for the UDE is split between the dealer and BMWFS. Some dealers do not participate in the program so it is only worth $500 in those instances.

I see UDE available in LA. I will use dealer from SF Bay Area. I guess my dealer most likely would not honor my participation in LA event, however, $500 off would still apply from BMW FS? I do not see information about the rebate on the event site.

Unless something changed you wouldn’t be eligible for it since those incentives are for in stock vehicles only. The details are on the certificate so we would have to get a copy to be sure.

For the UDE you get the rebate emailed to you the next day after the event. Here is the screenshot for you to view.

I would suggest that people add which model they are buying. Discounts vary a lot between hybrid and gas only. Gas version usually gets a higher discount.

Great suggestion, I would also add that the region/location should be noted since discounts can vary depending on where in the country you are.

We understand that. Was it a 40i, 50e, or M60i?

Depends on the dealer. I was able to use my UDE code discount on a custom order back in 2021.

Some dealers take the chance and break the rules. Some also get caught during an audit and they have to pay it back.

anthemavm DM me, you are local in HB I can get you MSRP without markups.

As far as SoCal is concerned 6-7% seems to be the going rate off X5 gas and a little less on the hybrid models since production has finally ramped back up.

If anyone is looking I can definitely help with this.

Hey,
That's a great deal.
I've spoken to various dealers in Dallas and none of them are offered any discounts on the MSRP on the 40i models.

Do you mind sharing me your dealer details via pm?

Thanks.

Hi,

I am trying to buy or order a 2024 X5 50e from dealers in Florida and am having a hard time getting anywhere near a 6% discount. The best I have gotten so far is 2% off MSRP and a $1k dealer fee. Anyone know a dealer that will get close to 6% off in Florida?

Thanks
