Issues with Pirelli Scorpion Verde AS Tires?
Hi all, I ordered a set of these to replace a set of worn out tires on my 21" wheels. Went with the exact same sizes (staggered) that originally came on the wheels:
315/35 21 275/40 21 I had a local tire service company put the tires on for me, and I can see that they must have at least tried to balance them as I see new strips of weights on the rims. Right away, driving on the highway, I get bad vibration coming up through the seat and steering wheel when I get over 90-100 km/hr. I checked with my torque wrench that the wheel nuts are good, and the tire pressures are as listed on the sticker on the door panel. I contacted the company that did the install and they are going to book an appointment to re-check the balance, but I am seeing via google searching that this is a common issue with these tires?? Can't get them balanced? Paid about $2100 Cad for the set from blackcircles.ca. Not happy.... |

I'm on my second set of the Scorpion Verde AS tires. I had them on my 2019 40i and now on my 2024 50e. No issues at all.
It sounds like you may have a tire/wheel balancing issue from the installer. |

If a second attempt to re-balance does not work, take the vehicle to someone that can do RoadForce Balance.

Thanks all, crisis averted...
The local place that did the tire swap took the all the old weights off the wheels today and started over re-balancing them. Much better now. After dealing with brake issues for the past 1.5 years I wasn't ready for another fight lol... |
