X5 M60i for X5MC - Advice

I have a 2024 X5 M60i that I picked up in July 2023. Blue/ all options and 7,800 miles. I try to keep it mind condition.

I want to trade it for the 24 X5MC. Local dealer in Baltimore quoted me 85K trade in value and $140,652 for the order. Interest rate quoted is 6.29% - 721 FICO.

60 months at $2,736/month. Rebate is $500.

I havent negotiated yet. I figured I come here and ask the advice of the experts. What can I expect if I can negotiate?

Thank you in advance.

65K for the swap

You should get at least 8% off the X5 M MSRP.

Total rip off, but to each his own.

8% off a M is going to be difficult these days

Yes that may be, but It's a 2024 MY when the 2025 is already out.

You might not get much discount from MSRP. I varies with the local market.

I follow the market on LeaseHackr and don’t recall seeing an X5M going below MSRP for years. A quick check of the brokers there and all at at MSRP. Allocations are minimal.

How much the dealer depreciated your M60i? How much are services like Carvana, Carmax, etc. giving you if you were to sell to them? 6.29%, is this financed thru the dealer?

Trade value is roughly 15% depreciation for a year. Pretty strong honestly. You've got kinda "meh" credit, 6% is very good for that.

That's a lot of money to upgrade to the MC. Only you can decide if it's worth it.

Lots of good advice here. BMW of Towson offered 85K for the trade in.

But the good point is that it is not worth spending another 40K - 50K for the "upgrade".

I Think ill start looking at 911 as a side car.

Appreciate it.

Save California and SoFla, I didn't have any trouble getting a discount.

The LCI wasn't discounted at first, but there's wiggle room now. Not as much as years past (8-10% was doable if you shopped around). Allocations are harder to come by though. NLAB is saying 4-5% which is what I found when you come correct (read: let the dealer know you know their games and aren't up for a lot of hassle).

+1.

Personally, I think OP would be making a horrible financial decision. $2700/mo is 911 territory. Nice 911 territory too. But I'm not one to dissuade someone from getting what they want at a price THEY can afford. Life is too damn short. Lost an aunt out of the blue a month ago. 65 and healthy. Gone. So if you can make it make financial sense, f*** it. Have at it and have fun. If I were in OP's shoes, I'd go for a pre-LCI with low mileage and try to come out on top with a wash on the trade and maybe Section 179 it if you have a business.

As someone who has an X5M and 911 I will say the 911 is just more fun…but the X5m is a blast. I tried the M50/60 and they were not really that sporty in terms of handling. The X5M was a joy. Ride quality was similar to my sport suspension equipped 911. I am very happy with the Pre-LCI. May be worth a look for OP.

I agree, for that type of car note, upgrading simply isn't worth it financially. if I were you id look for a Pre LCI model maybe.

if that isn't an option, 911 it is lol. A turbo S will be my next car alongside my X5MC.
