Hello guys

I have a X5 50e LCI with the new Idrive 8.

My iphone is connected with apple carplay.

When i am listening to the radio, and i open an app with audio,
for example instagram. the radio switches the audio from DAB radio to
iphone.
Can you turn this off?

Also, when i close the app, sometimes it does not switch back to radio.
Is there a button to go back to radio fast?

Because now i have to go to the touchscreen => home => media => radio...

in my precvious x5 you had hard buttons with presets (1,2,3,...)
or you had the hard button "radio" next to my idrive controller.

I haven’t found the answer to your first question (auto-playing phone audio), and would like to know the answer myself.

For the second question there are two options: 1) program Radio to one of the presets on the pull-down preselects at the top of the screen (push forward / up on the idrive controller); 2) push the media button twice in a row, which will bring up the media selection list.

also, i think you can program a hand control gesture for the radio preset. Did not test this yet
