I’m racking my brain trying to remember the username of the guy who was waiting (for a long time) on the nightrunners performance exhaust…what ever happened there? I’d love if this was a legit exhaust option for the M50i but the thread disappearing isn’t promising. Anybody have any insight?

As an aside, I removed the resonator and replaced with straight pipes a couple weeks ago. Volume at full throttle is better but still not very loud. It is very raspy. I don’t mind the rasp when I’m giving it the beans, but when I’m on my commute home in traffic, that hollow tinny sound just isn’t good. Hoping for a more reasonably priced option than what is currently out there but I’m not holding my breath.

There were some unexpected delays in shipping but exhaust arrives today per UPS tracking. Having it installed week of April 1st. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Good question, I wanted to get in on the “sponsorship” pricing but didn’t want to risk the money when some basic requests couldn’t be met.

I think I’m going to wait a little while to see what they do. They don’t even have pictures of the exhaust on their site. I asked for one and they sent it to me. So I figured they had them made already. Then a day later he told me he had to make it and it takes 22 days.

I asked for a pic as well and didn’t ever get one. I can understand if they are made to order at this point not knowing what demand will be, but it’s hard to commit to something with so little information.

Looking forward to your update. 95% sure he is ordering them from a dealer on Alibaba.com (https://bskmy.en.alibaba.com/?spm=a2700.shop_pl.88.13) This would explain the lead times and request for a deposit.

I responded to his "sponsorship" program for another platform and the image he sent was almost identical to the Alibaba version. He also refused to reply when I asked him if it was from Alibaba.

Very interesting, and good find. The “sponsorship” price happens to be the same price as the one on Alibaba. I think you’re onto something…

Their entire website screams chinese drop shipper. Everything just looks like a chinese rebrand.

I've actually heard good things about this specific manufacturer and am waiting on a few people to get theirs and report back about fitment etc before ordering one.

I've spoken with them and one of the services that they offer is adding your own branding / label to the exhaust. If nightrunners isn't using these guys they are using a very similar company.

Yeah, he told me these are made in China. I figured some sort of drop shipping deal. Didn’t bother me though as the price seems right compared to all other options. Is there something to be concerned about with this type of purchase arrangement?

Mine is currently being installed. I’ll have back this weekend as I have the shop doing some other items as well. Like I said, I’ll share results with everyone.

I wouldn’t be concerned, just wouldn’t want to pay his markup. I would have gone for the sponsorship opportunity if it had been clear what it was, but it seemed that he was trying to hide something so I passed. Good to know I can get the same thing direct.
Please do let us know your impressions once it’s installed. There are a handful of us that would like an exhaust upgrade but aren’t willing to drop the insane money for some of the other systems out there.

Ya, it will honestly probably be fine. Like I said, I've heard good things about these suppliers and you will probably get a decent system at a reduced rate.

I just didn't like the vibe I got from him and would rather work directly with the manufacturer to get what I want without any "sponsorship" strings attached.

Only thing I’d be concerned about is customer service/warranty after the fact.

Ordering from China my expectations were low on after purchase support. Being a lower dollar amount I was willing to live with that.

Spot on, and support will likely be the same whether you purchased through a reseller or direct. I’m anxious to get your impressions…this will be my next purchase if it’s confirmed to be a decent system.
