79800 already include that

Another build with DAPP. This force premium package as well. making the over price, 79900, just 100 under limit. No hitch for this build tho.

the default wheel is 20" 730. It is already much better than that 19" offer in pre LCI. I cannot stand that 19" and 265 width setup at all.

Maybe take the $3750 rebate and change bumper and rear defuser. Should make it look compatible if not better looking than OEM msport

Yea dropping MSport make much more sense than dropping dapp. You cannot retrofit DAPP but you can always change the look. If it’s me I’ll just order white and de-chrome the big smile and call it a day

I actually thought of doing retrofit on m sports parts.
However, looking up some other threads here mentioning it, saying it could cost $10k to completely replicate it, and could take a resale value hit because those are not what came with the VIN from factory...

I think i'm gonna bite the bullet and order the car with both DAP and MSports

8K is a lot, and I might not be able to qualify for tax credit in the future (i guess that's a good thing?)

since like someone mentioned earlier, i'd just regret not getting it and keep thinking about it whenever I see it if I indeed didn't get msports, because the delta between the two is also quite large..

Hopefully it can keep some resale value..
(who am i kidding, i'd be lucky to get 2k over a x line version 3-5 year down the road)

My perspective is, if you really want it pony up and pay for it.

Any after the fact add on, they usually won't reflect on resale value, maybe even lower. And usually, no one will retrofit OEM body kit or wheel after the fact. People will go to an aftermarket model. Good quality aftermarket will have good fitment, and can look more unique and better than OEM for less money. Now if you want that OEM setup, yes, better pay for it at order.

People do it in China all the time, for a very small amount of money they can even make G11 look like G70. However here in US any mod is very expensive...

I have been putting CF defuser, apron, sunroof replacement panel, .... on my E39 and E46 long before Chinese start making those stuff. They are many reputable BMW after market body kit out there, I don't remember of those mod cost nearly $10K, not even half.

$5k for all those combined sounds like a descent price to me.

Can't imagine buying an $80,000 BMW and tacking a bunch of Chinese made junk all over it. Better to buy what fits your budget from the start or go with a cheaper model.

To assume everything made in China is junk is ignorant. I'm sure the big 3 American autos and also BMW source parts from China.

BS, we are talking about the shameful knock off junk on Ebay and Amazon and 99% of it is made in China. This stuff is known to be of reduced or very low quality and fit by those who are conversant with these products.
There is nothing "ignorant" about that statement.

I mean it make no sense to drop that much cash to replicate some design that does not even look great in the first place... Maybe in a few years when there is junk yard parts you can maybe try.

I suggest just do de-chrome (which is the ugliest part imo) and call it a day.

Gas is one thing yes.
The other is the ev motor, having the ability to do preconditioning and ac while idling, and may enable other use cases like putting a 12v cooler etc that I'd imagine would be nice to have.

and it's quicker compares to 40i, for not a lot more money which basically gets negated by gas price

Keep in mind that your expected net savings from buying less gasoline is highly dependent on your electric rates, total charges with all fees, distribution charges, taxes, etc., per kw hour.
There are some places in the US where the electric ends costing more and many where the savings nominal.
Hope it works out as expected for you.
