Attached to a measly 1100D camera body, which by itself costs less than half of the cheaper of those two lenses.

Haha, thanks man. It's one thing that I noticed almost immediately. My shots were rarely blurry. But you know IS can only help so much, it's like someone just taking protein powder without working out. Tools without application/talent are useless.

It is, but once you get the main set of gear youre good to go, unless you want every lens under the sun. I have 4 and feel capable of captyring anything i'd want.
