When my shoulder came out they gave me 2.5 doses (~4mg) of fentanyl through IV. Didn't really affect me much honestly, just made me really chatty. The last half dose was right before they reduced the joint and asked me if I thought I needed more and my response was, "Sure, why not."

It was pretty cool how fast it clears your system though. I went from feeling like a happy, talkative drunk to stone sober in like 25 minutes.

Edit: Units on dosage may not be correct. Value based on my memory while on fentanyl. lol

It is a really clean product. I'm guessing you didn't have the hazy feeling some of the older preps would leave the patient with, as well.

Ive trained every size of green horse, from ponies that were 13-14 hands to Percheron drafts that were 18-19 hands and the smaller ones are BY FAR worse. They are so much faster, can turn on a DIME! The big guys are slow and cumbersome. Consider the difference between a large NFL lineman as opposed to a cornerback. Very diff levels of agility. Now try to stay on one's back! The big ones are like riding a couch though, so wide that saddles never really "fit" and tend to wander. Riding a bucking Percheron down the side of a mountain is one of my highlights because he was very green and my saddle kept slipping all over, pissing him off!

Yet you still ride her bareback. You need to learn from your mistakes because it sounds like you got REALLY lucky the first time. Granted I bet you on top of the blanket and squeezing your legs around her belly is what spooked her.

I've had her 16 years. She was just having a bad day. She was also 5 months pregnant when I hopped up on her that day. She probably was just being hormonal. (Yes you can ride a horse while she's pregnant as long as you take it easy and she is in shape and in good health) horses carry for a little over 11 months so 5 months wasn't even half way along yet.

Clean is a really good way to describe it. I remember thinking that maybe I got used to the happy drunk/high, but it really had completely worn off and I felt back to normal. Surprising how fast it works.

Only on the side now. Ive moved back into a professional white collar life. For years that was my deal in Montana, though. I worked on a ranch and we all had a string of maybe 5-6 horses we worked throughout the week. 10000 acres on the border of Yellowstone National park where we turned out the herd of approx 120 every night and gathered them every morning. We would meet at the barn around 430 am, ride maybe 1-2 hours to a meeting point in the dark and wait for sunup. Gather the herd and push them back to ranch for the days work. It was a dream life, but you sure dont make much money! I spent approx 10-14 hours a day in the saddle.

You're kidding me right?

UGH!!!!!! He wont cut it out

It's way to close to my tear duct right at the corner of my eye. He cant do it without causing permanent damage to my tear duct. He asked me to give him two weeks with trying the compresses because it looks like it wants to bust. I started crying, begging, and pleading him to do anything to get it to out of me now. He sat there for a minute then he took a blade and ever so slightly grazed the capped gland to open it to get it release on its own and he applied pressure (as if to pop a pimple) it wouldnt bust. He thinks it should be gone by the weekend if I apply the hottest level of heat I can tolerate for 30 minutes a day and try applying pressure directly afterwards on my own 3 times a day, told me to discontinue the Ciproflaxion the other DR gave me on Tuesday because that treats eye infections. My eye is not infected so there's no need for those drops and I should have never been prescribed that to begin with. This is a problem with the eyelid, not the eye its self. Ciproflaxion treats the eye, not the eyelid. So he gave me an oral antibiotic to try and to give him until Sunday. If it's not gone by Sunday call the clinic on Monday and he will have me come in and he will inject a steroid into the eyelid to break it up.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph I just want this damn thing gone. How many Dr's is this going to take.

Wash your eyelids with baby soap weekly to prevent a clogged oil gland and going through what I am going through.

Ouch, sorry about your luck. Sounds like it's pretty deep down in there. Hopefully some heat and pressure will draw it out on its own sooner rather than later!

Ciprofloxin is just an antibiotic it can treat any suceptible bacteria. The problem is you are putting it on a site that isn't infected hoping it will work. What was required is as you say oral so arriving by blood stream or topical in the form of an ointment tou apply directly to the site not into eye.

That's funny, every time I go get a physical, I strip down butt ass naked and lay on the bed thing and wait for the doctor to show up.

"Sir, you can keep your clothes on for this"

I used to be nervous having to take my skirt off for obgyn appointments. After having a baby, I take my pants off in a heart beat. Nothing bothers me now about modesty
