Can anyone else confirm BMW Digital key working on Samsung s22?
I would recommend deleting both bmw app and Samsung pass, restart your phone and then try from there. Hope it works!

digital key is additional option along with digital card

if u have a key fob in u pocket all these features will still be available to u

What are the chances BMW can now make notifications work on Android for the My BMW app?

This new enabling of digital key on S22 is probably all Samsung's work.

p.s. Does your driver profile launch correctly? Even though I'm logged into my BMW app on the phone, it starts me in the "Guest" profile after I start the car with Digital Key, so all my customizations are gone, until I deliberately switch (which also requires me to enter my PIN).

go to iDrive (settings under u profile and sync it up)

Mine is OnePlus 9 Pro. Do you have notifications enabled for the app in Android settings?

Are you in the USA? Did it always work?

I do have all notifications enabled for it. It also has permissions for Location & Nearby Devices.

There are other reports of this too, it's not just me.

No, I'm in Europe, but I don't think that should make a difference. Yes, I think it's been working since My BMW became available.

Looks like my S22 Ultra will setup a digital key now. It doesn't say it's not compatible any longer and moves on to say I need both keys in the car to verify I own the car etc.

Now the question is do I want to set it up. Do I need it? Why would I use it ? I would love to hear why others use it to see if the use case is something I am not thinking about. Right now I am happy with my normal key fobs. I do have the key card setup but only used it once when my key was not recognized and the car wouldn't start. Some stupid glitch I haven't see again.

good question

pretty much just having a benefit of using your phone (only) no need to have a key fob on u at all!

as I mentioned before its an additional benefit but not really required.

for the Apple world its also includes Apple Watch that has the Apple wallet where you can use it same way as iPhone, not sure Samsung watch will support it.

note of caution! when I added my digital key, somehow I lost ability to use my key fob(s) I can still open and close doors but that's about all, maybe I did something wrong when I added the digital key (not sure) but I will be restarting iDrive and possibly disconnecting and reconnecting the battery to solve this, I read it has helped someone to solve same issue.

The digital key works great on my S21 and my spouse has an S22 .... but we can't both use it at the same time, correct? Only 1 digital key per car?
