Pretty basic. Not sure why the hold up. Genius confirmed yesterday that I was still week 39. My CA said I was scheduled for production for September 20, so I don't know what to make of it.

It is very odd... some week 37 guys are ready to pick up, but looks like most week 39 guys are not even get 150 yet.

Any one knows the possible reason?

Timing seems fairly normal. Production Begins status is usually about two weeks prior to assembly. If you don't change by Saturday and your production week doesn't change, then there is something weird going on.

I was told I would have my X5 by the late September or early October but when I called the BMW genius he said it was scheduled for week 39.

Not necessarily. Give Genius a call and they should be able to tell you.

Might be delayed, but contingency plans on a federal level are being put in place to utilize more trucking if needed.

Congrats! I bounced along a bit as per my post above. Today my prod date moved forward a few days to 9/21 from 9/26. I have to think with the movement today that the week 39 crowd will be going to 150 and getting a prod date if folks haven't already. It's hard but keep the faith, the process works!

Just went to 150. Says I have a production date of 10/3 so I guess I am not in week 39 anymore, but at least I have a date and a VIN.
