I thought for sure I would see "Production Begins" today, but no such luck. When my 50e is finished will it come to Central Florida via truck or rail??

So in this data it shows: 'prodDate": 2023-04-30"
Does that mean the expected completion date or the start assembly date is 4/30? Thanks |

This is the start of assembly but assembly takes less than a day so they are essentially the same except for QC being a gamble it seems. (Could be anywhere from the same day to weeks in extreme cases.)

My week 18 50e build changed at about 6:15 am PDT today 4/20. Production date is 5/3/23.
Just FYI re PDC, I was able to change to PDC the week before production back in 2022 when it was already in status 150. Talk to your sales rep and see if he can add it. |

So, it looks like all of us who posted in this Week 18 thread have a production date between Sunday, 4/30/23 and Friday, 5/5/23. My guess is there will be no updates on build progress until early Sunday morning, 4/30/23. Since I have a production date of 5/1/23 I probably won't see any change until that day.

Just got a message from my Dealer, that my X5 entered production on the 21st and should be at the dealership between the 15th and 20th. I'm located in NC, but still confused at the tracker, that says 5/5. Maybe that's the expected completion from QC.

Your dealer misled you a bit. Production Begins does not mean that assembly has begun. It means that a VIN as been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. Assembly will be done on your production date and takes less than a day. If your production date is 5/5 it will likely be at your dealer the following Monday or Tuesday depending on carrier availability.
