I’ve read where week 31 seems to be designated for builds with individual colors. Thought I’d start a string to see if there is any new info out there? Hoping they move up that date, so let me know if you have any intel on that.

If you have a production number then give Genius a call. If you don't then that means your dealer doesn't have an allocation for the order.

Yep, that's the delay. I put my order in at the end of March and am just waiting for end of July.

Genius also told me that it might be sooner but the current estimate is Week 31.

Yep, the Production Number came through nicely. I was just a little overly optimistic on timing, based on my initial conversation with my sales rep.

Nothing I can do now but wait like the other Individual guys.

TB, I also ordered the Executive Package and am getting the feeling that this might cause another delay. Do you know if that applies to Individual productions too or just a general shortage right now?

It shouldn't cause an extra delay since your build date is further out than the builds delayed to the exec package.

Looks like you ordered same time as me. I was hoping they picked a date way out in future and then wanted to see how many individual orders they got and then moved up the date if they had enough. Wishful thinking, but these would have been May build dates and they say add 8-12 weeks. We are at the end of that spectrum. Plan for the worst, hope for the best!

I went with British Racing Green.

Agreed with your sentiment but I have made my peace with the end of July build. On the positive side, it sounds like we are in good shape to get the new processor as part of our build.

I saw a ‘23 in your color. Looked good. Yup, it doesn’t change a lot. We leave for vacation Sept 9, so if we don’t pick up by then it will be Oct. And from what I’ve read the 9th could be tight. I’m on west coast. Car ships to SoCal dealer and then he’s shipping to Oregon. And July 31 is a Monday, so week 31 from my calks is really first week of August.

You might not be any later. If you have a production number I bet you’ll be in our week. It seems to me like they batch the I individual colors. I’m no expert but if you have a production number, call Genius line or ask your dealer for the production week.

Keep in mind iDrive 8.0 doesn't allow coding like previous versions of iDrive did. Only a very few ECU's are open and the rest require server verification. One would assume 8.5 will be the same.

Though, given that this is a new product and his timeline was never actually moved up, I think we should grow comfortable with the fact that we are getting our cars in early August.
