The Genius number but they usually, at least in the past, do not give out the production date only the week. 1.844.4GENIUS (443-6487)

You can call 1-800-831-1117 and hit 0 and give them your production number or VIN and ask for your prod date.

To check detailed status and production date with a browser:

Open browser and go to BMW My Garage https://mygarage.bmwusa.com/

Hit F12 to open the developer screen and click on console.

Copy and paste the string below into the bottom of the console section in your browser. I have used Chrome, Edge and Firefox. All browsers work. Look for "Prod date" in the text.

sessionStorage.getItem("production-vehicles")

You can also do the more detailed version of using the network instead of console but that's more involved.

BMW ca doesn’t seem to give out this info over the phone and unfortunately I can’t add a Canadian vehicle to my garage for the F12 technique. I tried it on the Canadian tracker site, but doesn’t work. Happen to called BMW NA number also and they get an error trying to look up the vin. Any other suggestions?

Yup. Yours should flip to 150 two weeks out. I’m thinking/hoping mine might be at the dealer the week of 8/14 as Spartanburg is only 4 hours away. Yours will have a bit longer trek to SEA.

Congrats. My order submitted on 7/1 including a production # so my M60i should be in the queue near yours. I’m status 150 and have a VIN. For the life of me I cannot get the F12 trick to work. FWIW I use a iMac. Any advice?

Do you have chrome? Are you trying the console or network tab to get the details?

I use Chrome. I’ve tried both methods but see nothing related to prod date.

Post or PM me your VIN and I will check it out for you. Have also been wanting to do little videos on the process so can do that if you are ok with your VIN showing (it will likely show in the dealer's web anyways).

Yes......I finally got F12 trick to work. Production date is 8/10 and it should be in my garage soon thereafter. Spartanburg is only 4 hours away. Many thanks for your offer of help.
