"Car unable to drive. Automatic shutdown initiated"

Yesterday, I was driving back home in my 50e. Battery totally discharged from a long drive. I'm in Sport individual mode. Suddenly car alert sounds and I see a brief message that said: Car unable to drive. Automatic shutdown initiated. It seems like the car started to slow down and initiated a lane change automatically and suddenly went back to normal. Made it back home without further incident and charged overnight. No issues driving it today.

Has anyone else ever seen this message?

Man, that’s scary. Did it ever happen again? I wonder if it was a brief software glitch, or modules not communicating correctly. I’ve had a few issues that likely resulted from software gremlins, but not anything like that.

Garage List
something triggered the vehicle to stop driving for that moment. I’d get that checked out

the steps the vehicle took are similar to the Emergency Stop Assistant, but that feature isn’t automatic; it requires specific input by an occupant
