My X5M has arrived!!! Will post some photos when I collect next Monday.

As attached I ordered Black Sapphire with Black 818M alloys with black brake callipers with silverstone interior.

What arrived is Black Saphire with bi colour 809M alloys with black brake callipers with silverstone interior.

Photo attached is of wheel from internet with blue calliper.

Do I keep what arrived or dealer says he will swap out with a new ser of Black 818M as ordered that he can have in before collection next week.

818m are lighter and stronger,cause they forged,which is valuable.I personally like black wheels,but in my opinion the 21 818m in front look a little small.809m look bigger for the size which is nice.Also they look better in my eyes.For the look i will go with 809m.

818 for me. Far sportier design and forged...and more rare since there were years where they werent available. They were a requirement for mine. It's all personal taste though.

I have the 809M, but would have preferred the 818M bi-color.

I really like the 809's as a whole and they look perfect on the body IMO. See my next remarks on BMW paint and clear below

Not to toot my own horn. I like the Factory 818 in Diamond Cut but BMW painted wheels and clear is crap so it turns to sch1tz real fast......IME. I saw a new X5 with the Jet Black 818.

I do think the colorway on mine look way better

I got the black 818, I like them.

I realize the 818 get a lot of love but for me it’s the 809 all the way.

I blacked out my 818 on my 2021 x6mc as it was not orderable at the time. With my 2024 x6mc the black 818 were available so went with that. Saved me 1200 in power coating.

Also - was thinking about ordering a pair of 22inch 818 to swap out the front 21inchers, basically going square with the setup.

I have the 809M. I think they look more mature. The 818M is too complicated which overpowers the tire; in other words, there is no contrast between the tire and the rim. Maybe it looks better in other colors.

809 stands out more to me. Even though they are not forged they are plenty strong since mine has hit some serious potholes without issues.
