Hi guys,
I've done a search on this tailgate spindle issue but only see its a recall issue in the USA. So my question is can this spindle be lubricated and repaired?

Mine is intermittent and looking for the best option to sort it out, appreciate any insights please

can you get it replaced under warranty? I’m in the U.S. and that’s how mine was addressed when it failed 10 months in. it’s still good after 2y3m

Ive checked warranty recalls here in Ireland but none listed at all unfortunately ... the US lobby must be more active

It doesn't have to be a BMW recall for them to repair it. As long as your car is still under factory warranty, they'll repair it for you at no cost.

Your profile says you drive a 2020, so I'm assuming you still have factory warranty.
