I hate waiting

And the app is now taunting me. Car is sitting on a hauler in San Diego, should be in Chicago next week, when I'm, of course, out of town.

But I got one!! '21 X5MC DG / Black, all the boxes checked. I hadn't realized I was looking for a unicorn, but I guess I kinda was. Rules were

- under 20K miles
- not black
- must have DAPP
- would be nice to have B&W (which in retrospect was actually a must have also as I was ignoring otherwise good cars).

The only true nice to have was Taruma or midrand, but I decided to give up on that because there's almost no Taruma cars out there.

Now to keep stalking it via the app...

Congrats on the new ride! Post pics when it arrives. I recently experienced this anticipation as well. All of the interior options are great so I don't think you're missing much.

The more I drive this car the more I love it. The suspension firmness and feedback are fantastic...the engine is super powerful and silky smooth...and the interior is second to none IMO. On my daily drive there's a sharp turn onto the freeway onramp - every time I take that turn this car demonstrates what sets if apart from the rest of its competitors.

Ok finally got a car wash and a nice day (and I suck at pictures apparently)

First impressions -- it's surprisingly more raw than the M5. The steering on center is sharper (almost too much so, maybe I need to dial in a tiny bit of toe-in) and if you get on it it just feels more sudden than the M5 did. That's not a bad thing

Also -- definitely not as harsh as I had feared. More comfortable on the crap roads around here than the M5, and I think hit my sweet spot.

Overall -- love it! Gotta dial in a few things (like the oddly missing Lane Change Assist and the tailgate issue I'm seeing), and install the stealth hitch and then I'm set! Hopefully for longer than with the M5 haha

Exactly what I thought after I switched from the F90! It has to do with the weight and the height....just feels more dangerous, if that makes sense.

One thing I did, since this was a new platform for me (came from X3 M40i) was to read the manual and view as many videos to learn a few settings, not to mention the wealth of knowledge on this forums.

You know I test drove an F90 and was underwhelmed. It was super fast and luxurious but somehow not engaging. The F95 seemed more fun - maybe bc of the size or the steering but I have been thrilled with it.

It's the saloon effect of the old 7 series...the F90 is a BIG car for an M5...

Yeah it’s actually longer than the x5 by 5 inches. It’s a surprisingly massive car.
