Anyone applied a double pinstripe?
Never applied one before but it looks super easy. Have gotten quotes on hand painted and vinyl and they're not cheap. Here's a short video with some classy tweeks at the front and the back on a BMW sedan.

I used to make extra money in college pinstriping cars for people, it is super easy you've just got to get the right balance between "tight" and "stretch".
Are you sure you really want to do this though? The 1990's might come and try to take your X5 back When you don't see a lot of cars with something.... there's usually a reason

The fugly car in the video is the polorizing E60 BMW 5er. The bottom of the pit for BMW in the Bangle years (isn't he designing appliances for Samsung or something?) in my not-so-humble opinion.
They picked the one car on which pinstripes will actually improve the look. For the beautiful G05, I'm planning to leave it alone. But, if you think it looks good, go for it! After all, its your car. |

The G05 has great natural lines why junk it up with pinstripes? Those body lines make the G05 in my opinion.

Last time I saw pinstripes on a BMW was on an ALPINA F1 7 Series with Deco-Set strips which are an homage to the ALPINA heritage 70s and 80s.
But on a G05? Just, no... Though everyone's free to spend their hard earned $$$ and personalize their vehicle to their own tastes. You can be the first with pinstripes! At least you're not slapping a M40i badge on the back.

But do we know that? Can you ever really trust anybody in pinstripes?

Couple of big red velvet dice hanging from the rear view mirror, glass bong stashed in the glove box and you're all set. Alright already, I'll just settle for the dice and leave the pin stripe roll in the box. I was thinking a black pinstripe might add point to the crease is all but if ya'll think it would dumb down a good car I'll save my money and time. Am probably going to go with the new Madico black pearl ceramic on the fronts only tomorrow. One op is trying to talk me into a clear on the entire windshield but since we're retired and I'm not parking my car in a hot Texas parking lot while at the office like the old days I think I'll opt out on it. |

BTW, I've seen pretty wild mods to some of the white ones, black outs on the vents, grilles, changes to wheel spokes. Must be the hip hop generation at work.

Ya and they go well with white wall radial tires.
