First Dragstrip Event

Hey everyone. So I picked up an 08 E90 a couple months ago. A coworker here has got an 07 Charger SRT-8 that he has been wanting to race me with, so we decided to go to the test and tune event tomorrow night at Firebird Raceway here in Phoenix.

Looking to get any advice/pointers from you guys since this will be my first time.

The Car:
6 MT
JB4
BMS DCI
Macht Schnell Downpipes
Modified CDV
Stock 18" RFTs
I'll be running Map 7 on 100 octane. (16.5 psi)

Anyone suggest using the JB4 to limit the amount of boost in 1st and 2nd gear? I tend to notice pretty severe traction issues when on the street.

Recommended tire pressures or launching techniques?

Thanks ahead of time!

Yeah ... any chance of ditching those RFTs? That'd help your grip for sure. Some Hankook V12s would work pretty nice.

What RPMs are you launching at?

Your 60' needs a lot of work. On street tires don't do a burn out, just a quick spin to clean them off. Also drive around the water box. Try leaving around 3k rpm slowly slipping the clutch. If it bogs try higher, but you'll likely spin.

Gotta stick with the RFTs for now. But once I get a few bucks put away I will definitely be getting sometime else.

I was launching around 2,000 rpm while letting the clutch out slowly. Spun the tires for about a second or two.
