Moving shift lever to S1 mode

Hi,

I understand the sport individual settings. but what exactly is changing when I shift my lever to the left and is shows S1 through S whatever when automatically shifting?

Is this an equivalent of simply changing the transmission mode from comfort to sporty, OR does this combine other aspects like transmission and engine throttle response?

It is only transmission mode, it does not affect the other settings of the car.

shifting the lever to the left affects transmission only (refer to manual, pictured). in my observation, I can be in Hybrid drive mode and shift the gear lever left, and it stays in Hybrid drive mode, not Sport

no no, your info was great my friend, I am referring to the "S mode" itself, seems like the same thing can be accomplished in the sport individual settings.....sorry for confusion.

No it can't. Even when the transmission is in Sport Plus setting, it does not hold the gear for as long.

The transmission behavior you get from moving the shifter to the left cannot be replicated from any drive mode.

i have limited experience using this mode, but I lean towards what mobilejo said. I've observed the transmission in this mode versus Sport Individual behaves slightly differently. additionally, shifting the gear lever only activates the transmission program, not whatever engine or suspension settings you set in SI.
