So, I did a Query from Microsoft, then paired the two Unique ID fields, and copied the whole result to a new tab and got my combined excel data in the right format. Then was even able to do several sub-condition sorting routines, and now the canvassers can go hit only those VBM who returned ballot in last election, street by street.

I had a pop up showing it was installing but it doesn't look like it worked and I can't get that screen to pop up again n

If you remove/uninstall the device, then shut everything down and start it all back up you should get that popup again.

If I got an old-fashioned mouse with a wire, is that guaranteed to work instantly?
I'm running out of time here. With no mouse cursor, this is impossible to get my work done.

An old school wired mouse should work just fine.

My guess is you had some update and lost your wireless mouse driver. The basic preinstalled mouse drivers should still be ok.

Is it a USB mouse? Do you have any other USB ports to use?

Try restarting the computer with the wired mouse connected, preferably on a different port if available.

Isn't that little square below the spacebar (slightly to the left) a trackpad? Maybe in control panels, enable it? (Which may be tough without a mouse...

I have a touch screen so that's how I'm accessing settings and stuff. But that track pad is useless right now because I have no mouse cursor. Does that make sense?

Can you get into settings and try to "enable" the trackpad? Seems that would be an option.

My keyboard has a trackpad enable/disable hotkey by pressing Function (Fn) + F5. Maybe yours has similar.
