Favor - picture of spare tire kit

Hello,

I see the pricing guide shows a standard item "300 - Space-saver spare" for the X5 M and X6 M.

If your M has this option, can you please post a few pictures and include the part number from the spare tire?

I'm particularly interested in those of you that have the spare on a competition with 21" and 22" wheels.

Thanks in advance.

So if this spare tyre kit is for X5m, it would probably also fit to 30d with M-sport brakes?
I wanted also to buy spare tyre kit, but BMW dealer told that because of m-sport package (he ment M-sport brakes) spare tyre is not possible:

What's the tire size on that spare? I wonder if its the same as the G05 size since I assume the under floor storage is the same. The dealers don't know what they are talking about half the time. I was shopping G05 M50is without the spare and they would tell me its not able to add after the fact or I would need to get a full size spare, BS. It makes no sense since if get the 22" they come with a space saver spare and the same size brakes as the 20" and 21" wheels. Do the G05 and F95 share the same M brakes? I eventually spoke to the BMW genius and he cobbled together the part numbers for the complete kit if I wanted to add it after the fact. Happy to share if its same size on the X5M.

BS on the dealer, the M50i on 22's comes with a spare tire kit and fits over the brakes. You have to be able to replace the kit parts if something is needed. They don't know what they are talking about.

We were offered the spare kit or an inflator kit....we took the spare all the way. It looks just like the above pic.

I have an inflator kit that came with the M2, but it's for major emergencies only. I made a little kit with one of my spare wheels and ordered a x3 or something rather jack kit off eBay. It takes up the whole trunk.

I was actually surprised when I saw it as my F85
Didn't have a spare. I had to get it towed twice from a flat... PITA.

Did you end up piecing together a spare tire kit for your x5mc, using the part # botis1028 supplied? Curious what parts are needed beyond the tire itself. I'd love to do this as well.

The new spares are designed different than the old spares, plenty of room to clear the calipers and will fit a G05’s brakes no problem. I had to find out the hard way what the new spares looked like. Lol
But I appreciated it more than any runflat. I patched the tire where I would have had to replace it if it was a runflat (meaning I would have destroyed it getting to a safe place by driving on the runflat).

Awesome! Looks like a great fit.

Anyone have all the part numbers that are needed? I have the storage package, but I'm assuming fitting the spare tire accessories shouldn't be a problem?

I have the parts for an M50i not X5M - see post 32 (Link). Not sure what parts are different for the X5M.
