Do you see the VIN of your FLM43 and FLM44?
If it is "0000000", ECU FLASH is required.

If done correctly, the SWFK should be added and the high beam warning should disappear.

I had such a problem with the left and right lights, but the left side (FLM44) solved the problem.
The right side (FLM43) part was diverted from the LED, so the error on the right side did not disappear, but I think the error will disappear by changing to the regular product at a later date.

The flash removed all errors.
Perfect.

It can be implemented with only simple swapping and coding.

You look very cool
Great job.

By the way, doesn't HBA need an FSC code?
Remove the 5AP and 8S4 from the VO and add the 5AC
I think it will work if you code the other necessary modules.

I'm not sure, though, as it may work differently in different countries.

I have laser lights and for the driving I do in country Australia i dont think they will show enough up front or the sides. Have not tried them in remote area as i cannot get there (restrictions) but where's i have tried them they are prob the brightest headlight i have seen on a car but not sire they will still cut it.

I am trying to work out a way to wire a good light bar into the manual high beam.

Laser coding

Hi All,
I just fitted the laser on MY20 G05. Can anyone of you who has completed this retrofit tell which ECUs to VO code and if the high beam warning error comes up what to do to clear it? New to coding but have VO coded. Overall, I need help in making it function.

Much appreciated.

All you need to do to turn off the high beam warning is the ECU FLASH on the left and right FLMs (43) (44).

Please follow this link to perform the FLASH.
https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=811347

After that, code each module and it will be fully operational.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you mean the only two ECUs to be VO coded and flashed are FLM43 and FLM44? Also, do these modules have dependencies?

Flash is only allowed in both FLMs.
552 was deleted by VOcoding and 5AZ was added.
I was not confident about the module, so I code FLM, BDC_BODY, DKOMBI, HKFM, HU_MGU, IHKA, and KAFAS.
This includes things that are probably not needed.

When I ordered a new one from BMW JAPAN it was $16,000, too much money.
So I ordered it from Ebay.
They are sold as a set for about $4,000.

I'm in Kanagawa.

Are you sure you are getting units with laser beam generators, or only DRL's for 4 grand.

I'm using a genuine BMW Laserlight component, so I believe it produces not only DRLs, but rays as well.

Interesting, I just look at price difference and AFAIK every laser head light has actual laser module that generates 3 laser beams converted in to one white beam by the lens.

The difference between 16 000 and 4000 make me suspect.

Wish you luck with you retrofit, Post some pictures if works.

It's the difference between buying them new from the parts department at full retail price and buying a set of takeoffs from a wrecked vehicle.

I've posted this before, but I was shooting a video.
Would you prefer a photo?

The difference in price seems to be the difference between buying legitimately from a dealer and purchasing parts, like the OEM, as others have said.

Thanks, looks much better with these DRL's.
Let us know if you notice difference driving with lasers in the dark.

Please refer to Post #52.
The rest of the time you will need to FLASH the ECU.
