Ahhh... I see, so unless they come up with a fix for that in the next couple weeks, I probably won't have it then. I was "kinda" hoping for the Spotify app.... but it's not "that" big of a deal for me.

The Nav though? That is a big deal. The thought of using my phone for GPS absolutely sickens me with a car this expensive.

Spotify works just fine with Bluetooth from your cell. That’s the way I use it.

I feel like we are getting closer, I now have the car on my app.
I had to download the german version of connected drive, I also have Europe maps, I filled out the connected drive form took a photo of my vehicle registration from USAREUR. They are still working on the problems from their side.

Not for Europe Maps since my car had no maps installed. If you needs maps its 250 dollars. To activate connected drive no it's free but gotta speak german, to troubleshoot. I am hoping to find a fix for everyone in Europe.

Alright we hit a wall but it can be done it if I replace the TCU. I will get yall the latest price to install. I might try a TCU from a wrecked G05. I asked and they said doesnt matter if it is used.

They asked us to send you the next steps for exchanging the communication unit by email. We are happy to meet your request.

First of all, you should contact a BMW AG branch or authorized workshop to inquire about the scope of the exchange (price, time, etc.)

If the communication unit is replaced successfully, please have the ICC ID and IMEI number of the new unit given and send it to us.

We will take care that the communication unit is registered through our IT department. Then all Connected Drive services will be fully available to you.

If you have any further questions, we are of course happy to help.

Telematics Communications Box - € 631.95 incl.VAT
Battery - € 66.50 incl.VAT
Installation- € 535 incl.VAT

Total costs € 1233.45 incl.VAT

Thanks for all your work in this effort and your posts here. I am in S. Korea with what I believe are the same issues (both navigation & CD not working on a new 2020 G05).

Want to make sure I understand, you have the BMW Navigation with proper maps working and the TCU/TCB+ costs are for getting Connected Drive operational?

So do I understand correctly that the module works for certain regions/ frequencies only like old school gsm phones? Or is it stuck with the original assigned region like a DVD player?

Yes I have US Spec with European maps installed no changes to vehicle were made. I want connected drive, that's what the extra costs are for. I want apps, carplay, and real time traffic.

Yes the US frequency is higher than what is used in Germany. Might be the same for South Korea

Is that way to get avaible bmw apps in region (Ukraine) where is no Connected services at all? I download Connected app and cant go further VIN check in app. Ask dealer they of course say if it not work so it not work.

If Ukraine doesnt have apps I'm sure you could activate with another country closes to you, drive there and download all apps need.

Just activate the month trial.

Thanks for advice, I try now to activate trial and again on enter VIN code I have same error like your VIN not support, contact support. I try to email support then.

Oh, I see. I have a 40i and have sport, comfort and adaptive, but how does it affect the navigation system?

The Navigation is used to change the suspension stiffness depending on the road, or turns. Is uses the map to stiffness the suspension on a curve in that direction. I read this somewhere, and I cant remembered where. But I feel like it does work.
