Normally I get WeatherTech or BMW OEM all-weather mats in my ride for winter, but I came across these on Amazon and thought I would give them a try because the fit looked fantastic. These are all-weather mats with a thermoplastic texturized rubber surface with an anti-skid backing. They have raised side edges to prevent dirt and debris from getting on the carpet and a slick looking textured surface that they says is easy to clean, weatherproof, and stain-resistant. The one minus is that it does cover the dead pedal, but that does prevent dirt an debris get getting under the mat a bit. The fit is indeed nice and I really like the look of the surface. Pics are fresh out of the box and sitting on top of the carpet floor mats.

They fit better if you take the OEM mats out first. I bought the same ones, and have found them fine so far. The OEM winter mats and the Weathertec have a bit deeper channels, so if you had a lot of snow tracked in, they might contain it better from sloshing around after it melts, but so far, I haven't found that to be an issue.

I have these mats in my 21 M50i and they are fantastic. I've had these in my last 3 vehicles.

Only downside is they don't yet make a cargo mat (although I have seen reports of the previous-gen X5 cargo mat fitting decently). I ended up doing the Weathertech for that one. It fits/looks fine, but I would still prefer the Maxpider.

Yeah, I'm pleased with these so far. Was looking for a matching cargo mat. I have a previous generation X5 WeatherTech cargo mat that I sized in the new G05 and its fits decently, I imagine the old Maxpider would fit the same. I can patiently wait for the new G05 cargo mat from them...maybe.

Just installed a set of Maxpider mats with a Weathertech in the cargo area.

Like:
- Looks. The weave is attractive and a much cleaner look compared to Weathertech

- Driver's mat. Pleased that there is full coverage for the dead pedal.

- Weight. Very light compared to weather tech. More like a piece of plastic vs. heavy rubber.

- Textured backside. No issue with sliding about.

Don't Like:
- Lack of water channels and no coverage under gas pedal. Mats are dished and there is an edge channel, but there are no interior channels or other anti-sloshing protection. May velcro some black sponge to provide overflow/sloshing protection (inside the channels along the back edge and along cut-out for gas pedal).

- Slight misfit for rear mat. The rear mat is about ¼" too wide such that it bows a bit where it meets the driver's seat rail bump. No issues on the passenger side.

- Logo. Need to borrow a heat gun to remove the plastic logo from the front mats.

- Traction. First impression is that they are slicker than Weathertech or carpet. Do not think my heel will slide with rubber soles but wondering about when it is wet/dress shoes/etc.

- Durability. Given the light weight/plastic feel am wondering how long they will last.

Still like the mats, but would go with WeatherTech for winter due to lack of water channels.

Protective film. Will get around to pulling it once it starts to rip.

had I known the film was blue, I would've asked my dealer not to remove it!

I like the rear set. look great and doesn't have the hook cutouts like the Weathertech does, no logo is a plus!

Just installed the Weather Tech and they seem to fit pretty nice. A little bulky, but will do the job.

I've been debating getting the BMW all-weather mats. I've never had them in any of my cars. Do you guys like them significantly more than the carpet? I feel the carpet looks nicer, but it is easier to track mud/snow/dirt/slush into the car during winter time—how about during warmer months?

I use winter mats all year long. Carpet looks nicer, but get dirty easy. Winter snow, ice and salt, spring rain and mud, summer dirt and sand, and fall leaves and rain plus kids, I find it easier and cleaner to have year round winter coverage on the floor.

are they stiff and plastic like? I've bought 2 sets for non BMW vehicles and the weather tech work but I hated how hard they were.

Those channels would be nice for those complaining of water sloshing around.
