Android Auto Dropout with Electronic Toll Pass

Hello,

Android Auto drops out when travelling through a toll pass. You can hear the beep from the toll pass, followed by a dropout and reconnection of Android Auto.

It is incredibly frustrating when navigating and losing the maps before needing to turn.

It happens with at least 2 different phones (Galaxy S8 and Note10+). It only happens with the wireless Android Auto, not the cabled version like in other cars.

Does anyone else have this issue?
Is it only a problem with the toll passes used in Melbourne?

I took the video in an M5, but the issue also happens with the X5, and I figured the X5 forum gets more attention.

Not much help in my reply here, but all electronic devices usually have that 'must accept interferences' as a term of use of the device. The toll readers are likely generating a large enough field that the in-vehicle WiFi gets disrupted. I noticed a few weeks ago when driving past a certain building my CarPlay audio either skips or it completely drops the connection. Not a whole lot to be done, but it is annoying.
